60 miles - Monterey to Lucia. Today was one of the most beautiful sections of coast line thru the Big Sur area. It was also the hardest sections of the trip with 2 climbs over a 1000 feet and narrow roads. The pacific coast bike trail is to bikers what the Apalacha trail is to hikers. I have met people from Canada, Sweden, Germany and all over the US.
